"While they are not the descendants of dinosaurs, crocodilians are the last living archosaurs." Reptilian Relatives Achievement

Crocodilia is the 2nd Life, the 2nd Land and the 2nd Reptile generator obtained in the Primary Simulation's Reptile Sub Tree, which can generate Entropy EntropyEntropy. Crocodilia is an order containing three families: Crocodylidae ("True" Crocodiles), Alligatoridae (Alligators and Caiman), and Gavialidae (Gharials and False Gharials).

Design[]

The Crocodilian looks exactly like a forest-green crocodile (Family Crocodylidae (species not determined due to oversimplified design)) as there is no overbite or long snout. A Crocodilia lives in the Savanna region of the Land garden. One swims next to the Tetrapods and a dolphin (Cetaceans) and two more stride on the river bank next to the elephant (Ungulates) and the Apes, barely in the Jungle section.

The Crocodilian burps when clicked on.

Similar to most other Reptile Generators, the Crocodilian has a single trophy: the Gharial.

Gharial[]

The gharial rests along the river.

The gharial rests along the river.

The Gharial resembles a mud-colored gharial (Gavialis gangeticus). It makes no sound when clicked on. The lone gharial rests in the Savanna section of the Land garden, near the Turtles and the Amazonian dolphin (Cetaceans). Two more accompany it, swimming along with the Amazonian dolphin. The gharial has an animation of it swinging its head around minutely.

The gharial makes no sound when clicked on.

Description[]

"First appearing in the late Cretaceous period, crocodilians are large, predatory, semi-aquatic reptiles. Along with birds, they are the last descendants of the Archosaurs."

Upgrades[]

Crocodilia has 7 upgrades, increasing the generator efficiency with a total x1,608 multiplier.

Icon Name Description Cost Efficiency Requires
Crocodilia Patient Predator Patient Predator Many reptiles can lie in wait for their prey for a long time. Hiding underwater or camouflaged in undergrowth, these predators wait patiently for just the right moment to strike. EntropyEntropy 2.8e14 50% Crocodilia
Crocodilia Saltwater Habitat Saltwater Habitat Crocodiles are adapted to live in a saltwater environment. They have special salt glands that help to filter their salinated habitat. EntropyEntropy 5.6e14 100% Crocodilia
Crocodilia Crocodile Crocodile Crocodiles have long, narrow heads, with a pointy snout. Their upper and lower jaws are the same width, unlike alligators. They commonly live in saltwater and are the most aggressive member of the crocodilian family. EntropyEntropy 1.4e15 200% Saltwater Habitat
Crocodilia Freshwater Habitat Freshwater Habitat While alligators have the same salt glands as crocodiles, they have evolved to be nonfunctional due to the fact that alligators live in freshwater environments. EntropyEntropy 6.6e16 150% Crocodilia
Crocodile
Crocodilia Alligator Alligator Native only to the US and China, alligators have a broad snout and darker coloration than crocodiles. They live mostly in freshwater, and have a distinctive overbite. EntropyEntropy 8.85e18 300% Freshwater Habitat
Crocodilia Long Snout Long Snout The gharial is differentiated from crocodiles and alligators by their long, thin snout. Lined with many sharp teeth, this snout is specially adapted for catching fish. EntropyEntropy 7.21e19 225% Freshwater Habitat
Alligator
Crocodilia Gharial Gharial Gharials live mostly in the Indian subcontinent, and are currently endangered animals. Their long thin snouts make them easily differentiated from alligators or crocodiles. EntropyEntropy 1.77e20 450% Long Snout

Achievements[]

Additionally to the generator count achievements, unlocking the Crocodilia also gives the Reptilian Relatives achievement.

Icon Name Description Requires
Achievement Super Croc Super Croc An ancestor of modern crocodilians, Sarcosuchus lived during the early Cretaceous period. They grew to twice the length of the modern saltwater crocodile, the largest reptile alive today, and had a bite force of up to 9 tons. 25 Crocodilia
Achievement Scaly Stomach Ache Scaly Stomach Ache Crocodilians tear their food into pieces with their sharp teeth and swallow the chunks whole instead of chewing. They swallow stones to help them digest, similar to the gastroliths used by ancient dinosaurs and some modern birds. 50 Crocodilia
Achievement Alligator Agitation Alligator Agitation Alligators are apex predators in their natural habitat, but pose little threat to humans. Humans hunt them, using their skin to make clothes and sometimes even eating their flesh. The Catholic church classify alligator meat as fish. 100 Crocodilia
Achievement Curious Cousins Curious Cousins Crocodilians are closely related to birds and dinosaurs. Along with birds, they are the last surviving archosaurs. 150 Crocodilia
Achievement Surprise! Surprise! Crocodilians are generally slow animals due to their large size and weight. However, when hunting, they are capable of bursts of great speed, which allow them to attack suddenly from underwater to catch their prey by surprise. 250 Crocodilia

Trivia[]

  • Crocodilia doesn't require all Upgrades to be unlocked one by one, but is not the case after Patient Predator. The only other time this happens in the Tech Tree of Reptiles is in the Neoaves, where despite four upgrades popping off from the Intelligence upgrade, only one is required to unlock the other nodes.
  • This generator isn't very effective as you can buy lots of more effective cyborgs if you need to go higher.
