Earth is the 4th Celestial Body and the 3rd Terrestrial Planet obtained in The Beyond Bubble Universe, which can generate Stardust. (Unlocked at Rank 1, branching off of Venus)
In-Game Description[]
"Earth is the only planet in our solar system known to be hospitable to life, making it truly unique. The deep seas and green landmasses teem with living creatures."
Traits[]
Common[]
- Ocean Blue (Speed):
"Around 70% of Earth’s surface is covered in water. Saltwater oceans contain 96% of the water on Earth, with freshwater making up the rest. Scientists believe that life could not have emerged here without this abundance of H2O."
- Oxygenated Atmosphere (Payout):
"Unlike other planets in our solar system, Earth has a high level of oxygen in its atmosphere thanks to the photosynthetic process generated by plants. Recycling carbon dioxide and continually creating oxygen, this process enabled complex life to develop."
Rare[]
- Solid Surface (Payout):
"All terrestrial planets have a solid surface with a silicate mantle over a metallic core. Varying levels of seismic activity create mountains, canyons, craters, and volcanoes."
Epic[]
- Speed of Light (Speed):
"The speed of light is the rate at which light and all massless particles travel through a vacuum. While it can seem instantaneous from up close, over long distances this speed limit becomes very noticeable. The theory of relativity relates to the speed of light."
- Cosmic Gravity (Payout):
"Gravity is one of the fundamental forces and key to understanding how the universe works. Using Newton’s principles, astronomers can explain how stars and planets form, predict their mass and motion, and infer the existence of dark matter."
- Goldilocks Zone (Discount):
"The Goldilocks Zone, also called the Habitable Zone, is the region around a star with conditions necessary for a planet that can sustain life. Planets like Earth, with surface water and breathable atmospheres, might be found in these zones in other systems."
Constellations[]
- Scorpio (1.5x Speed):
"One of the brightest constellations in the sky, Scorpio represents a scorpion. It includes the red star Antares, sometimes called the “heart of the scorpion” because of its placement and color."
- Cancer (2x Speed):
"Cancer, the crab, is the dimmest constellation in the zodiac. The Tropic of Cancer, the northernmost circle of latitude on Earth where the Sun passes directly overhead, is named after it."
Satellites[]
The Earth has a total of one natural satellite, the Moon. Meanwhile there are a lot of artificial satellites and space telescopes orbiting Earth, its Lagrange points or following its orbit all along. The most well known are probably the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. The James Webb Space Telescope is only available and unlocked through the completion of the event Unfold the Universe.
As an Easter Egg, a monkey dressed as Santa Claus orbited Earth in its sled with a reindeer during Christmas time.
James Webb Space Telescope[]
"A joint effort between NASA, the ESA, and the CSA, the James Webb Telescope is the successor to the Hubble Telescope. With improved photographic and analytic capabilities, it will observe distant phenomenon such as the formation of new galaxies."
Easter Egg[]
Achievements[]
- Too Hot, Too Cold... Just Right! (Rank 5):
"Earth exists in what’s called the “Goldilocks Zone”—a distance from the Sun where it’s not too hot or too cold. This delicate temperature balance has allowed Earth to sustain multi-cellular organisms for millions of years."
- Microbe Management (Rank 10):
"One teaspoon of Earth’s soil can contain up to a billion microbes. Earth sustains vast numbers of lifeforms—most much smaller than humans and other animals. It is unknown if other planets may also host microbes on their surfaces."
Real Image and Symbol[]
Trivia[]
- This, Mars (when fully terraformed), and the Moon (with the Wireframe Logit skin) are the only celestial objects that change appearance.
- This is the celestial object with the most different appearances, with at least 10 appearances-6 or 7 in Life After Apocalypse, 3 different ones in the Augmentations console, and 1 or 2 more different appearances in the main simulation.
