Glires are the first generator in the mammal tech tree.

Design[]

The Glire resembles an American Beaver. In the Garden, some are walking while others chew on a log. (The plains section of the Land Garden gets a dam when you buy a Glire).

Description[]

"A clade comprising of both lagomorphs (rabbits and hares) and rodents, the glires are small mammals with distinctive teeth that grow continuously throughout their lifetime. Most are herbivores or insectivores, are small and furry, and have tails."

Upgrades[]

Glires has 10 upgrades, increasing the generator efficiency with a total x1.47404e26 multiplier.

Icon Name Description Cost Efficiency Requires
Glires Rabbits Rabbits Rabbits have powerful hind legs that they use for jumping and running. They live in social groups in underground burrows, and have been domesticated as far back as Ancient Rome. Today, there are over 300 species of domestic rabbits, which are often kept as pets. EntropyEntropy 5.91e11 24% Glires
Glires Range of Vision Range of Vision Rabbits have nearly 360 degrees of vision due to the placement of their eyes in their skull. This allows them to always be on the lookout for predators and potential threats. EntropyEntropy 6.32e11 48% Rabbits
Glires Rats Rats Living in tandem with human civilization for thousands of years, rats are the ultimate opportunistic survivor. These furry rodents, larger than mice, will eat almost anything, are known vectors for disease, and are highly intelligent. EntropyEntropy 8.65e12 96% Glires
Rabbits
Glires Zoonosis Zoonosis Rats are notorious as a vector for disease due to their high population numbers, frequent infiltration of urban areas, and proximity to humans. Sometimes they are a host for diseases themselves, but more frequently carry fleas that transfer the diseases to humans. EntropyEntropy 1.13e13 144% Rats
Glires Flat Tail Flat Tail Beavers' broad, flat tails serve many functions. They help to balance the animal when it is chewing on trees, can be used as a rudder while swimming, and stores fat that helps the beaver to regulate its body temperature in summer and winter. EntropyEntropy 4.14e13 192% Rats
Glires Beaver Beaver Beavers are large, semi-aquatic mammals known for the broad, flat tails. Mostly nocturnal and living on waterways, they use their large teeth to cut down trees and build dams. EntropyEntropy 6.07e14 240% Flat Tail
Glires Rotating Ankles Rotating Ankles Tree squirrels are one of the only mammals that is able to climb down a tree head-first. They have the ability to rotate their ankles 180 degrees, enabling them to still retain a grip on the bark while the rest of their body is turned backwards. EntropyEntropy 2.15e15 288% Rats
Glires Squirrel Squirrel Small, furry rodents that live in trees, squirrels are known for their bushy tails and predilection for nuts. When living in human-dominated environments, they show a special talent for breaking into birdfeeders to steal food. EntropyEntropy 2.04e16 336% Rotating Ankles
Glires Capybara Capybara The world’s largest rodents can weigh as much as an adult human! Despite their formidable size, capybaras are cuddly and gregarious, like their guinea pig cousins. They live near rivers and wetlands in South America, in close-knit family groups of a dozen or two members. EntropyEntropy 5e47 1e13% Rats

Glires Vocalization Vocalization Rodents that live in groups communicate frequently with growls, whinnies, chirps, barks, squeaks, whistles, coos, and hums. Baby capybaras, which are closely related to guinea pigs, utter a constant, guttural purr. EntropyEntropy 9.15e48 1e14% Capybara

Achievements[]

Icon Name Description Requires
Achievement Raucous Rodents Raucous Rodents Rats enjoy being tickled! When tested, rats in a playful mood displayed happiness and were even observed to emit high-pitched "giggles" when tickled by scientists. However, anxious rats dislike being tickled, just like humans. 25 Glires
Achievement What's Up, Doc? What's Up, Doc? Carrots are not a natural part of a rabbit's diet. Despite what cartoons have told you, most rabbits prefer to eat leaves, grasses, and weeds. Since they are high in sugar, rabbits should only eat carrots as a special treat. 50 Glires
Achievement Going Dutch Going Dutch The world's largest breed of rabbit is the aptly named Flemish Giant, which can grow to over two and a half feet long and weigh over 20 lbs. 100 Glires
Achievement Rodents of Unusual Size Rodents of Unusual Size The largest ever rodent is believed to be the extinct Josephoartigasia monesi. These fuzzy animals lived during the Pliocene era and were 10 feet long and five feet tall. The largest modern rodent is the Capybara, which is four feet long and two feet tall. 150 Glires
Achievement A Real Nudist Colony A Real Nudist Colony The Naked Mole Rat is a hairless burrowing rodent found in East Africa. The only ectothermic mammal, it is highly resistant to pain and cancer, and can live for up to 32 years. They live in colonies with a queen surrounded by workers. 250 Glires

Trivia[]

  • If you unlock the Capybara Artifact, this can be the most effective Mammal Generator and the second most effective Entropy Generator overall.
