The Primary Simulation is the initial simulation in which new players start when first entering the game. It initially focuses on the creation and development of Life, and later also includes the development of human Civilization and technology. It features a large amount of generators and upgrades that produce Entropy and Ideas as their two currencies.

The Primary Simulation is the first simulation in the game. As you progress, you can unlock other simulations.
Beyond is the second of the three main simulations. After reaching The Milky Way, you unlock the Celestial Phenomena:

Clicking the Celestial Phenomena 200 times will unlock the Black Hole Portal.
"A black hole that warps you into outer space. This portal gives access to the Beyond meta universe."
Mesozoic Valley is the third of the three main simulations. After reaching the Flatworm, you unlock the Mysterious Rock:
"A large sedimentary rock. Chip away at the secrets of an era long past."
Clicking the Mysterious Rock 200 times will unlock the Great Fossil Portal:
"A mysterious fossil enclosed in ancient stone. The portal gives access to the Mesozoic meta universe."
The Exploration Hub unlocks a variety of limited-time event simulations. After reaching the Tetrapod, you unlock the Exploration Hub:
"Let Semblance take you on a limited-time journey. What worldly secrets are out there to explore? Assist her mission as you find more information to strengthen the simulation."
It shows a symbol for the current event and the time left right below it, as well as further information when clicked. Unlocking the Exploration Hub also unlocks the Augmentations Console:
"The Augmentations Console is where you can spend Logits to buy Artifacts and various cosmetic upgrades."

Tech Tree of Life[]
The Tech Tree of Life is the first main section of the Primary Simulation. It starts with our Home Star and covers evolution from the forming of the first organic chemicals up to humans. All Entropy generators belong into this section.
Dawn of Civilization[]
The Dawn of Civilization is the second main section of the Primary Simulation. It starts with Abstract Thinking that becomes available after reaching the First Idea upgrade in the Tech Tree of Life.
