"Hello. This Swiss hat you found may not be as eye-catching as the T-rex skull. But I've calculated the height, weight, and intelligence of its owner's species, and I found an alarming number of matches elsewhere in the simulation. They must be artificial lifeforms embodying the many nations of man, who got lost in my simulation. I propose we build them a home, and in return they will enrich us with knowledge of human cultures. Do you consent?" ― Semblance, first opening quote
The Village is a bubble universe centered on human cultures throughout history.
Overview[]
Like the Mesozoic Valley and Beyond, the Village is a separate simulation not affected by restarts of the main simulation and has its own currency and achievements (except for Darwinium). The currency is Art.
There's a bit of a difference between this simulation and the others. There are upgrades like the main and and event sims, but no cards to automate the cultures. That's where the "artificial lifeforms" come in. They're called Clockids, and they'll automate your cultures like cards would.

In-game Descriptions[]
Maasai[]
"Of the over fifty native tribes of Kenya, the Maasai are one of the very few who have retained most of their traditions, lifestyle and lore. In common with the wildlife with which they co-exist, the Maasai need a lot of land. Unlike many other tribes in Kenya, the Maasai are semi-nomadic and pastoral; they live by herding cattle and goats."
Sumerian[]
"The very first civilization was founded in Mesopotamia, between the Tigres and Euphrates rivers. Straw turned to stone, and our history could be recorded. The Sumerians are considered the creators of society as modern humans understand it. Their control of the region lasted just short of 2,000 years before the Babylonians took charge in 2004 B.C."
Egyptian
"From the great pyramids of the Old Kingdom through the military conquests of the New Kingdom, Egypt’s majesty has long entranced archaeologists and historians and created a vibrant field of study all its own."

Maasai Efficiency[]
Laibon (100% More Efficient)[]
"The central human figure in the Maasai religious system is the laibon whose roles include shamanistic healing, divination and prophecy, and ensuring success in war or adequate rainfall. Today, they have a political role as well due to the elevation of leaders. Whatever power an individual laibon had was a function of personality rather than position."
Cost: 35; requires: Maasai
Clean Shave (100% More Efficient)[]
"Upon reaching the age of 3 "moons", the child is named and the head is shaved clean apart from a tuft of hair, which resembles a cockade, from the nape of the neck to the forehead. Warriors are the only members of the Maasai community allowed to wear long hair, which they weave in thinly braided strands."
Cost: 124; requires: Maasai
Genital Mutilation (150% More Efficient)[]
"Traditionally, the Maasai conduct elaborate rite of passage rituals which include surgical genital mutilation in order to initiate children into adulthood. The Maa word for circumcision, "emorata," is applied to this ritual for both males and females. There are no known benefits for that of the latter, but the Maasai believe that female circumcision is necessary for social inclusion."
Cost: 680; requires: Maasai
Drone Polyphony (125% More Efficient)[]
"A drone is when a note is held continuously throughout most of a song. It is often, but not always, the lowest part of the song. There needs to be at least two parts to the song: the melody and the drone, but it can also be complex with melody and have more than one drone."
Cost: 340; requires: Maasai
Cattle Herding (300% More Efficient)[]
"Traditional Maasai lifestyle centres around their cattle, which constitute their primary source of food. They eat the meat, drink the milk daily, and drink the blood on occasion. A man's wealth is measured in cattle and children. He who has plenty of one but not the other is considered to be poor."
