Titan is the 16th Celestial Body and the 6th Moon obtained in The Beyond Bubble Universe, which can generate Stardust. (Unlocked at Rank 6, branching off of Saturn)

In-Game Description[]

"Saturn's largest moon, Titan, is also the only moon in the solar system with a dense atmosphere and stable bodies of liquid on its surface. The subterranean oceans beneath its frozen surface may contain microbial life."

Traits[]

Common[]

  • Dense Lunar Atmosphere (Speed):

"Titan is the only moon known to have a dense atmosphere, composed mainly of nitrogen. Methane in the upper atmosphere interacts with ultraviolet light to create a thick orange smog that hides the moon’s surface."

  • Surface Liquid (Payout):

"Many of Titan’s surface features resemble Earth’s. It has rivers, oceans, and a climate with seasons, rain, and other weather patterns. The hydrocarbon lakes of Titan are the first bodies of liquid found outside of Earth."

Rare[]

  • Natural Satellites (Payout):

"Moons are defined by their orbit around larger celestial bodies. Most moons revolve around a planet, but smaller bodies can have moons, too—even particularly large asteroids."

Epic[]

  • Speed of Light (Speed):

"The speed of light is the rate at which light and all massless particles travel through a vacuum. While it can seem instantaneous from up close, over long distances this speed limit becomes very noticeable. The theory of relativity relates to the speed of light."

  • Cosmic Gravity (Payout):

"Gravity is one of the fundamental forces and key to understanding how the universe works. Using Newton’s principles, astronomers can explain how stars and planets form, predict their mass and motion, and infer the existence of dark matter."

  • Goldilocks Zone (Discount):

"The Goldilocks Zone, also called the Habitable Zone, is the region around a star with conditions necessary for a planet that can sustain life. Planets like Earth, with surface water and breathable atmospheres, might be found in these zones in other systems."

Constellations[]

  • Scorpio (1.5x Speed):

"One of the brightest constellations in the sky, Scorpio represents a scorpion. It includes the red star Antares, sometimes called the “heart of the scorpion” because of its placement and color."

  • Libra (2x Speed):

"Libra represents a pair of weighing scales. Its appearance begins the autumnal equinox, when day and night are equal lengths. Libra is home to the star system Gliese 581, considered one of the best candidates for life on other planets."

Host Planet[]

Titan's planetary host is Saturn.

Achievements[]

Achievement Titan
  • Purple Rain (Rank 5):

"Titan is known for its precipitation and surface liquid, though they are not made of water like on Earth. Instead, Titan’s rain is made of methane, and its lakes are filled with liquid hydrocarbon."

  • Fly Me to the Moon (Rank 8):

"Titan is the only moon of Saturn to have a lander on its surface. The Huygens probe, sent there in 2005, made the farthest landing from Earth of any spacecraft. It sent the first-ever photos of a distant moon’s surface back to Earth."
