Virgo Cluster is the 40th Interstellar Object, the 8th Galaxy, and the 2nd Supercluster obtained in the Beyond (Rank 28), which can generate Stardust StardustStardust.

Description[]

"The queen of the Virgo Supercluster is the Virgo Cluster. It's similar in size to the Local Group but far denser, with 2,000 galaxies and a rash of rogue stars and globular clusters. Three subclumps will one day merge into an even more powerful center of attraction."

Traits[]

The rare traits matching this generators type are: Galaxy . Virgo Cluster is also affected by the epic traits: Cosmology , Dark Matter , Dark Energy . It is also affected by the constellations: Eridanus,Ophiuchus,Pavo, as well as by the generator rank.

Sombrero Galaxy With its bright, extra-large bulge, this galaxy looks like a wide-brimmed hat from our edge-on view. Part of that central glow is the accretion disk of its weakly active black hole. Sombrero boasts more than 2,000 globular clusters—10 times what the Milky Way has. Generator Unlocked
Black Eye Galaxy This heavy-lidded Sleeping Beauty, also called the Black Eye or Evil Eye Galaxy, is two galaxies merged into one. The central gas and stars spin in the same direction, but the outer gas rotates the opposite way. The two concentric systems are roughly equal in mass. Sombrero Galaxy

Astronomy Mission[]

Virgo Cluster's Astronomy Mission is Butterfly Galaxies.

"Just starting to merge, two spiral galaxies in the Virgo Cluster will become one elliptical galaxy in 500 million years. But first, they dance. They’re twirling around each other in an ever-tightening loop. Each close pass rips away streams of gas and stars."

Butterfly Galaxies[]

Reduce Virgo Cluster cost by up to x10 at Rank 9.

Achievements[]

Markarian's Chain Like the trio of stars in Orion’s belt, galaxies tend to travel in packs. Markarian’s Chain, in the Virgo Cluster, is a parade of eight galaxies moving in concert. They're all elliptical or lenticular (like a spiral but with no arms), and disturbed to varying degrees. Virgo Cluster Rank 3
Coma Void Where does one supercluster start and another begin? Like the bubbles in soapy bath foam, sparse areas of space called voids separate the clumps. The first void discovered, in 1975, was the Coma Void—the borderline between the Virgo and Coma Clusters. Virgo Cluster Rank 6
